#EndSARS: No More US Complicity - Solidarity from Sacramento - Die/Sit In

Black Lives Matter Sacramento is following the leadership of Patience Iyere in the organizing of this event.
#EndSars (End Special Anti-Robbery Squad )
Nigerian Police have a unit they Call SARS - Special Anti-Robbery Squad. This unit has been murdering, brutalizing, kidnapping, raping, stealing from, torturing, humiliating, unlawful arrests and detentions, and extorting their citizens.
The government has said they would dissolve this unit but haven't yet and have made these promises in the past with no actions.
Not only does Sacramento stand in solidarity with our people in Nigeria,
Not only does Black Lives Matter stand in solidarity with our people in Nigeria,
But we demand the United States government STOP BEING COMPLICIT in the terror at the hands of the Nigerian police.
- Stop providing the Nigerian govt weapons.
- Create pathways for Nigerians to have easy access to migrate into the United States without being criminalized or harassed by ICE.
Anti-Blackness is GLOBAL and prevalent by what happens in surrounding countries that are met with folks migrating out of Africa. That shouldn't be us!
We will be having a sit in/die in.
